LINK Attends the College and University Business Officers (CUBO) Summer 2023 Conference in Glasgow

LINK Strategic Partners (LINK) was thrilled to attend the College and University Business Officers (CUBO) annual conference in Glasgow. Matt Helfrich, LINK UK Branch Manager, represented the team in Glasgow by tabling at the Exhibition Centre, meeting delegates from universities across the UK.

The conference’s theme was ‘Embracing Opportunity: Taking Higher Education Commercial Services into the Future.’ Every session of the conference was given with a focus on adapting to dynamic environments through strategy, tactics, innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial leadership to enable delegates to identify and embrace opportunities. The objectives were to discuss and explore what we can do individually and collectively for our universities and sector to deliver improved outcomes, economic opportunities, and social value.

This three-day conference provided unparalleled networking opportunities with higher education leaders, changemakers, and policymakers who influence the health and well-being of university students throughout the UK. LINK connected with these esteemed business officers to discuss our previous social impact work with UK universities such as the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Queen Mary University of London, among others. We discussed our award-winning communications and student engagement work with university representatives from prestigious universities in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

“CUBO provided immeasurable opportunities to discuss the biggest issues facing universities across the UK today,” says LINK UK Branch Manager Matt Helfrich. “I left feeling reinvigorated about the state of the higher education sector here, as well as the countless opportunities to affect social impact for students and the leaders who make decisions for them and the generations to come.”
