Sayed “Erfan” Nabizada is a rising LINK Associate and a junior in high school
in Washington, DC. Upon completion of high school, Erfan eagerly anticipates
the opportunity to pursue a degree in economics or business administration.
His passion for these disciplines fuels his determination to excel and make a positive impact in his life and the communities around him.

Born and raised in Afghanistan, Erfan and his family immigrated to the United States in 2021 after the Taliban took power in Afghanistan. From a young age in his home country, Erfan immersed himself in climate activism and peace advocacy, driven by a fervent desire to catalyze positive change within his community and nation. As a young citizen, Erfan demonstrated his leadership ability to enact significant positive change in Afghanistan. Erfan’s engagement in climate advocacy and peace activism has facilitated his growth as a leader, inspiring peers his age and those around him. By participating in such activism, he has developed unwavering confidence to lead and actively engage in conversations and panel discussions, including one with former Vice President Al Gore about climate change, organizing rallies, talks, and various other activities.

At LINK, Erfan provides support to project managers on a variety of issue-oriented, brand-focused, and strategic communication matters. Erfan’s key roles include providing research and writing support, conducting partnership outreach, offering media relations assistance, and representing LINK at community events.

When Erfan is not in school or working, he continues to find ways to fulfill his
mission of making a positive impact on the lives of people both domestically
and abroad. Erfan also enjoys reading, writing, working out, and maintaining
a healthy diet.
