B.S. in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University with a concentration in Corrections and Juvenile Justice


Richard Watkins is a seasoned leader with diverse skills and experience. He is a retired U.S. Army Officer with wide-ranging experience in leadership, communication, and observing and evaluating organizational structures. Notable assignments included Battery Command, Assistant Professor of Military Science, serving on a Military Transition Team for an Iraqi Battalion, and providing training and evaluation to unit headquarters staff getting ready to deploy. Richard's diverse skill set includes leadership, problem solving, security (both data and physical), and interpersonal conflict resolution. He excels at being dependable, calm, and logical in high-stress situations, making him a valuable asset in any team. Richard holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University where he learned law, psychology, sociology, and public policy administration.

At LINK, Richard assists with research and other support to projects. He is hoping to get involved in strategic planning and other efforts to maximize organizational effectiveness. Beyond his professional life, Richard is a devoted family man, having been married for over two decades and raising four boys. He also dedicates his time to volunteer leadership roles with Scouting Packs and Troops, works as part of a marriage enrichment ministry at his church, and enjoys various outdoor hobbies and a love of literature. Lately, he is often found on the pickleball courts getting his cardio and improving his skills.
