LINK Strategic Partners Wins 12 Hermes Creative Awards for Crisis Communications, Messaging, and Design Work

DC-based firm has now won 58 Hermes Awards since its first entry in the internationally renowned competition

WASHINGTON (April 23, 2021) — LINK Strategic Partners has received a total of 12 Hermes Awards this year for its social impact projects, including COVID-19 crisis response, communicating vital youth sexual health information, and communications support for several municipalities and organizations. This round of wins increases the number of Hermes Awards won by LINK to 58 since our initial entries in 2016, and our overall number of awards for LINK’s cross-sector work to over 120 awards in the past eight years alone.

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding work of creative professionals involved in communications, marketing, graphic design, and more.

LINK won two Platinum Awards (Hermes’ highest honor) for its marketing campaign for DC Department of Employment Services’ Office of Paid Family Leave, and for its design of non-profit Bright Beginnings’ annual report.

LINK won another six Gold Awards for the firm’s social impact work. LINK was recognized for its full-page newspaper ad for the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission; the DC Department of Health’s Sex Is… campaign podcast series; the design of annual reports for DC’s Ward 8 Councilmember Trayon White and the Office of the People’s Counsel; and the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs’ five-year strategic plan and rebranded website.

Additionally, the Washington, DC-based social impact firm won four other Hermes Awards for:

  • Event photography for the 2019 Hawaii Open

  • Event photography for Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission national “light the night” events

  • Integrated marketing campaign for the City of Brownsville, Texas’ fight against COVID-19

  • A redesigned foster care recruitment website for the DC Child and Family Services Agency

“We are so proud to work with clients who share our mission-driven purpose,” said Michael Akin, president of LINK. “These awards, recognizing impactful efforts spanning communities from DC, to Texas and Hawaii and beyond, are a wonderful testament to the community-driven positive change our team and our client partners are leading across the country.”

The competition received 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and dozens of other countries in this year’s competition. The Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, and freelance professionals.
