Matt leads LINK’s first international branch, based in Manchester, England. He is responsible for managing international projects and relationships on both sides of the pond. He also serves as a project manager for arts, education, and public health clients.  Matt specializes in writing and editing for streamlined communications and messaging, collaborating with project teams in the planning, drafting, and editing of all written communications. His organizational and managerial skills are amplified by his experience working in urban education, non-profits, and moving image media.

Prior to his tenure at LINK, Matt joined Teach For America, working as a secondary English Instructor in the inner-city of St. Louis. He was recruited to help found the 10th branch of the Noble Network of Charter Schools, opening that campus in Chicago’s Englewood community in the fall of 2010. During his tenure there, he taught reading strategies, civics, and drama. He served as Chair of the Fine Arts Department, as well as a four-year mentor to a group of at-risk males, stewarding them to high school graduation and matriculation at universities across the United States.

Matt earned his master’s degree in Film and Media Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. His areas of study were film exhibition and French cinema, with a particular focus on the French New Wave. During his graduate studies, he taught undergraduate courses on film history and other electronic media. In his spare time, Matt can be found at the cinema, the rugby pitch, or on jiu jitsu mats.
