Lakina joined the LINK team while attending Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business, pursuing a certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship. Lakina has an intrinsic, voracious thirst for knowledge and professional self-development. LINK has proven to be the perfect incubator to help her grow and pursue her passions.

A natural community connector, Lakina strongly believes in building authentic relationships to form strategic alliances throughout the region and beyond.

Lakina’s prior work experience includes internships at the DC Superior Court - Office of the Auditor-Master; and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. 

Lakina’s unwavering commitment to LINK Strategic Partners is rooted in its authentic approach of “hyperlocal” engagement. This strategic approach virtually guarantees meaningful social impact in the communities it serves. 

Whether serving as a team lead or team player, Lakina consistently tackles community-oriented projects with enthusiasm. The broad scope of for-profit, non-profit, and pro bono work makes the job mentally stimulating. To date, she has collaborated on assignments addressing such specialized areas as education; healthcare; diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and access (DEIBA); as well as small-area planning. Lakina’s five top passions: criminal justice reform, social justice, education, growing sustainable businesses, and empowering inner-city neighborhoods. 

When she finally takes time to ‘exhale,’ Lakina can be found reading, binge-watching movies, oil-painting on canvas, strolling the halls of DC’s many museums, or simply taking a long ride in the mountains with her two children.
