EDUCATION

Pursuing a B.A. – Graphic Design from George Mason University

Isabella Ianniciello is a junior undergraduate at George Mason University, obtaining a degree in graphic design with a minor in data analysis. A native of Seattle, Washington, she grew up in an Italian-American family, who established a long legacy in produce at Pike Place Market. She trained as a classical ballet dancer for ten years and both her parents have professional artistic backgrounds, so she has grown up with a deep appreciation and understanding of the arts and its role within communities. She has a passion for art that creatively solves problems, expresses an inventive perspective, and inspires others.

Most of her professional experience is tied to the discipline, grace, and creativity of classical ballet. She believes graphic design provides many of the same challenges, while the medium is different, the skill set is similar. A positive user experience within an application, website, or printed piece requires an inviting and graceful simplicity combined with complex functions.

She has found this balance is universal in her classwork as well. From Editorial Design to Visual Voices in Colloquialism, the primary focus of each project in her classes has essentially revolved around taking a complex idea and making it accessible. Through discipline, grace and creativity an idea can be transformed into an invitation to understanding and become inspiring.

At LINK Isabella supports the creative team by helping with layout design, brainstorming, and branding. Her strengths are in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop but she also has experience with video editing and web design. She puts these to use by transforming the ideas of clients and team members into visual designs and concepts.
